Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering


The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 1986 with an intake 60.The Department is headed by Professor A. Manjunath with over a decade of Teaching experience, he is ably assisted by well-qualified staff. The Department has labs with modern instrumentation where the following practical programs are conducted.

ELECTRICAL LABS

 

Electrical Machines Lab


Students learn the intricacies of DC and AC machines.
 

Electrical Circuits & Measurements Lab


Students learn Measurements of various Electrical parameters and calibration of Electrical meters.

 

Microprocessor Lab


Students learn the assembly level language programming and interfacing hardware circuitry to processor. The kits are based on 8085 processor.
 

Relay and high voltage Lab


Students learn the operations of various relay and testing of high voltage equipments.
 

Control Systems Lab


Students learn stability studies control systems using MATLAB package and study the behaviour of control systems used for motor speed control.
 

Power Electronics And Drives Lab


Students learn the control operations of the power devices and to apply the same in industrial drive applications.
